How to get the number of reversals data from a Kagi chart in a set time frame, for example 1 year?

I think reversals on a Kagi chart is not the same as reversals in the general sense. Reversals on a Kagi chart would be similar to a new column of O's on a PnF chart. The normal definition of reversal is a major trend change like from uptrend to downtrend as opposed to pullbacks and corrections.
