How do you write a scan to scan for stocks whose price has just crossed above the 21ema?

    Perfect thanks. One more question. How would you write the scan if I wanted to scan for stocks whose price has crossed above the 21ema 5 days ago?

    Instead of modifying the scan, you could change the run date by using the calendar tool.

    Above the scan window, click on the "0" in " Starting 0 days before the ..."

    That way, if you want to choose six days ago, ten days, three days, etc. you don't have to edit the scan each time.

    Note that the charts will still display as of today - so the crossover will appear whatever number of days before the last bar.

    If you want to see the chart as of a past date, use Start/End option under "Range" on the chart workbench. You can use the "Apply to all" button at the bottom of the page to make this happen for all the charts in a list.
