I understand that the S.A.R. Technique is most effective with trending markets. What is the best way to determine trending status..ADX, SMA etc. on a 5-minute time frame? Also, if I am trading the 5-minute time frame with SAR, do I determine the trending status of a stock using the 5-minute time frame or should I use another time frame?

    You can use any time frame that suits your system. Dr. Elder, the creator of the PSAR advises using the ADX (another of his creations) above 25, to confirm trend. He also created the Elder Impulse System chartstyle that can also confirm trend when green.
