Great feedback - thank you! Here's what I've come up with: [type is stock] and [ [group is SP500] or [group is SP400] or [group is SP600] ] and [ [7 weeks ago weekly SMA(18,close) x 7 weeks ago weekly SMA(40,close)] or [8 weeks ago weekly SMA(18,close) x 8 weeks ago weekly SMA(40,close)] or [9 weeks ago weekly…

place weekly in front of the filter. and [weekly TTM Squeeze(20,2.0,20,1.5,20) = 1] You can also use monthly if looking to use monthly data in a scan. A point of information. If you run a scan that has weekly or monthly filters in it, your more accurate results will come from running the scan at a week ending or month…

You need to add a time frame modifier in front of everything that will take one - the time frame modifiers are "daily", "weekly" and "monthly". For instance, for the indicator it would be and [weekly Williams %R(14) < -20.0] // modify to suit your needs If you have other requirements, like volume, those need to be…

I'm sure Julius will get back to you. At this time it doesn't appear that the RRG filters are available to be used on the scan workbench. You may be able to create something that meets your needs using the PriceRelative function in conjuction with Moving Averages for the PriceRelative. The two lines on the RRG are named…

How do I add price crossing above the 8 day ema in the following scan? Basically I want to scan for stocks which meet the criteria of the 8DEMA crosses above the 21DEMA and the stock price crosses the 8DEMA with all three events taking place at the same time. [type is stock] AND[country is US] AND [[exchange is NASDAQ] or…

Adding Price Relative is nothing new. We already had Percent Relative. ... You can use any variety of Percent Relative ... week, month, etc. 1 week, 39 weeks, etc. Example ... rank by [ weekly PctRelative(1,$spx) + weekly PctRelative(2,$spx) + weekly PctRelative(3,$spx) + weekly PctRelative(3,$spx) ]

Scanning is only available on daily weekly or monthly time frames for the indicators and prices. Depending on the scan syntax, the EMA's it uses would be based on the Daily EMA or the Weekly EMA or the Monthly EMA. The EMA on a 60 minute chart is based on the 60 minute closes. So 9 60 minute periods would make up the EMA9.…

Weinstein's analysis depends on a sequence, or pattern, of events that occur over time, and not individual indicators crossing a threshold value. The scan engine is really designed for indicators, not patterns. Patterns vary too much in length between events and magnitude of price changes to be as reliable as indicator…

Thanks for this RANK BY code ... rank by [weekly Count Up(5,weekly high) + weekly Count Up(5,weekly low) + weekly Count Up(5,weekly open) + weekly Count Up(5,weekly close)] It would be nice to share more ways people RANK their chartlists.

This code runs, but kicks a warning about mismatched time periods. I think that's because of the two different time frames in two different lines. In any case, in runs and produces result, but I didn't verify them, and I don't think you can, since there are no standard indicators to match the calculations in the code.…

rank by [weekly Streak Up(Weekly HullMA(15,weekly close))]

Hello, I am trying to build a scan that will return stocks that are above and within 1% of their 50 day SMA on the weekly chart but it doesn't seem to be working as expected. These are the parameters I am using. Any help would be greatly appreciated. and [WEEKLY Close > WEEKLY SMA(50)] and [WEEKLY DistFromSMA(50) <1]

I've set up an alert as follows to capture when the %K crosses the %D on a weekly basis for Full Stoh setting (5,3,3) instead of (14,5,5) for TQQQ. The alert looks like this: [symbol starts with 'TQQQ'] // This alert finds when TQQQ Full Stoh's %K crosses Full Stoh's %D & vice-versa on a weekly basis AND [Weekly Full Stoch…

Got an email on Friday saying that they were going to be rolling out big changes this week. I've only noticed the scan results page change I mentioned earlier. The week is a long way from being over yet though. Something else I just noticed about THAT change. I mentioned that the SharpCharts button will display your…

There are two time frame modifiers, "weekly" and "monthly". Put them in front of the indicator or constant. and [weekly close > 10] and [weekly sma(20, weekly close) > 10] and [weekly MACD Line(12,26,9) x weekly MACD Signal(12,26,9)]

[[ type = stock] or [ type = index] or [symbol starts with '$']]and [country is US] and [[weekly close < weekly min(5,weekly close)] or [weekly close < weekly min(10,weekly close)] or [weekly close < weekly min(15,weekly close)]] and [[weekly CMF(20) > weekly max(5,weekly CMF(20))] or [weekly CMF(20) > weekly max(10,weekly…

So you'd select the Close from the Price drop down and the SMA from the Technical Indicators dropdown. Then change the Close to Weekly Close. Change the Volume in the SMA to Close and the period to 1, add weekly in fron of SMA and weekly in front of close and see what you get. It would look like this but this is not…
