You can't scan for values based on hourly data -or any intraday time frame, like 5 minutes or 10 minutes, etc.
You can run scans during the day that specify daily, weekly or monthly timeframes. The scan engine considers the most recent intraday update to be the closing value for the time period(s) specified in the scan.
So if your scan includes a daily time frame MACD condition, say a crossover, and the intraday data, say at 2:03 pm, satisfies that condition, you will get a hit. But, by the end of the day that may have changed, so if you run the same scan after COB, you would not get that same hit.
