Phrasing intra-day price in setting up a scan

I know that you use " Close" to reference closing price of a stock-in setting up a scan. Example:

Close>EMA(8)

How would a scan be phrased to scan during the day for all current prices of stocks that are greater than the EMA(8)?
Thank you.

  • If you run a scan during market hours as of the most recent update, it will consider the most recent update as the closing data for any time frame you specified in the scan - daily, weekly or monthly. So if you run the scan at different times of day, you could get different results because the data will be changing throughout the day.

You cannot specify a scan in an intraday time frame - hourly, five minutes, one minute, etc. So you could not scan for hourly MACD crossover, or 5 minute EMA, etc.
