Is there a way to add short interest into equity searches. For example I want stocks that 20% or more of their float short? If so can you please include how to write it

I don't see any option for short interest in the Scan Builder drop downs, so I would say you can't do it. It's an excellent idea for SC to consider. You might suggest it to Support.

In the meantime, Finviz.com has a good screener that allows you to specify any level of short interest, in combination with many other characteristics. Unfortunately, you have to join to export the results, but it might be useful to you anyway.
