User Defined Index - Kaufman Stress Indicator
Is the UDI capable of replicating this indicator using GDX and SPY for example? Thanks!!!

I haven't actually used either the Kaufman indicator or a user defined index, so I can't be 100 per cent positive. It sounds like if the Kaufman index has different values for each individual stock, you would have to upload it 15 times and give it 15 different names (for which you would need a "PRO" level subscription). If the Kaufman values are independent of the individual stocks, then you would upload it once and make it part of your chart style. I assume you would do that by adding a "Price" indicator to your chart style and then adding the name of your index, like @MYINDEX, to the Parameters box.0

If you can calculate and maintain this index offline - for instance in an Excel spreadsheet, then you can upload it as a UDI. A UDI is just a data series that you create and upload, and then SC displays it on a chart. Here's a link to the documentation:

Thanks for your response. So if I have 15 securities I'm following, I need to enter the data on Excel for each security, and upload the data for each, one at a time. Is that correct?0
