I am new to all of this, is their a way to build a scan that will find channels on charts?

You can write scans that use the Price Channels indicator. You would have to decide what you wanted to know about those channels - maybe get symbols where the price channel is rising, or falling, or getting narrower, etc. Or maybe look for symbols with a price channel breakout up or down. You would have to figure out what length you want for the Price Channel.

There is no scan method for finding trend channels, however. You would have to draw those by eye on the annotation tool.
