Comparing to the index

I'd like to add a comparison graph to my chart. For instance HCA against the $SPX. I am sure it is something quite simple- but I have not been able to figure this out on my own. You can tell I am new here?! smile: Thanks!

Try the "Price" indicator. Select it from the drop downs in the Indicator section of the Chart Workbench.

You can place one chart below the other (in the Position box, select "Below), or you can overlay them (select "Behind Price".

Or, you can show the relative strength of one versus the other as a single line using the ratio symbol in the Price or Price-Performance indicator, e.g. HCA:$SPX. Here's and explanation of "price relative" or plotting a ratio for two symbols
