Can alerts be created for stocks, etc. that are separated by a : (colon)...crossover (RSI, etc.)

    As far as I know, the scan engine can only scan for the available types of securities - stock, index future, etc.

    A ratio symbol (abc:def) is none of those (even if either symbol alone is one of those types), so the scan engine wouldn't be able to interpret it.
