Scan for chart patterns

Has anyone been able to develop code for more complicated patterns such as double tops? flags? etc?

There are pre-defined scans for candlestick and P&F patterns offered as reports. See the Member Tools box on the member page and scroll down to the Reports and More section.

The candlestick scans are pretty simple patterns. The P&Fs are more substantial.

The problem with Edwards and Magee patterns is they are highly variable. The double tops can be any number of days or weeks apart, a flag any number of bars, etc. You could write a scan to catch double tops, flags, etc. but it would only catch those that fit the particular conditions the scan specifies.
