Chartlist elimination from scan results

I have a scan that works well and provides me with a list of actionable stocks. However, I also have a Chartlist of 16 stocks I never want to see in these scan results. I've created a ChartList of these 16 stocks but am not clear how to write my scan instructions to ignore this Chartlist. Any help greatly appreciated.

I've never done it, but possibly you can exclude the chart list this way:

At the top of your scan, after you specify what you DO want to include (e.g. group is sp500, or whatever), then
select the list you want to exclude from the drop down under the scan window called "Your Chartlists" and click "Add".

In the scan writing window you should see something like

[ChartList is 166] // General Mining (this is from my list of chartlist, yours will be different)

If you add a "not" to that, I would think the scan would exclude anything in that list. So,

[ChartList is not 166] // General Mining

If that doesn't work, you should be able to exclude the symbols one by one

    and [symbol is not 'ABC']
    and [symbol is not 'DEF']
    etc.

and [ favorites list is NOT 99 ]

where 99 is the number of the chartlist you do not want to see.
you can find this number in the advanced workbench scan ... scan criteria ... your chartlists
