what does the word "skin" mean? (top left of chart, next to "Inspect" on some charts)

Quick question: on some of my Stockcharts charts, there is a little box with the word "skin" next to it. Not on all charts, just some. I click the box and the chart refreshes, but I can't see any change. What on earth does "skin" mean? What's going on, anybody know? Why is it on some charts but not others, even ones that seem very similar (same timeframe, same indicators, similar market).
Thanks, Taz

Certain color schemes have the skin option and when you check the skin box it will apply the color scheme to the whole page not just the chart. Here's more info on skins.
