Changing force index

i was wondering is there any way to change the force index to something else say a histogram on stockcharts.com?

I'm not aware of any way to change the presentation of the Force Index indicator to make it a histogram. Each canned chart style (Murphy, Anderson, Bowley, etc.) has a different color scheme, but they all present a line traveling above and below zero, with a color filled area between zero and the line.

If you find the color fill distracting, you can get rid of it (and the zero line) by setting opacity to zero under advanced options (if your subscription level includes them) and adding a simple moving average with a parameter of "1". You can specify the line color if you want - enter "1:green" or the color of your choice in the parameter window.

If you want the zero line back you can add Force Index a second time, make it opacity zero again, then add Horizontal Line with parameter "0". This second Force Index has to be right under the first one, and set to display position "Behind Indicator".
