Global Indices
Hi. Just seeking some general insights. Does anybody here use a global index or etf?
If yes, ... then what might be your reason?
I think Martin Pring uses the etf ACWI & John Murphy uses $FAW.
Then there is $GDOW and $DJW (not sure what's the difference)
Thanks.

I don't actually use a global index, but now that you bring it up, it might be a good idea. I can see using it in a perf chart or a Price Performance (RS) ratio to determine which global markets (or representative ETFs) are out-performing or under-performing versus the world as a whole.0

Thanks markd for your comments.
I tried out your idea of $GDOW:$SPX on a daily chart over a 10 year period.
- the 200 day moving average has been on a downward trend since 2009
