Indicator to measure distance from a mean?
Hi All,
I wonder if there is an indicator that acts as an oscillator showing the distance from a moving average. I am aware of most oscillators, but most show the current price relative to the range of prior prices for a particular period. I am looking for an oscillator that might show the distance from the 50-day moving average, 200-day moving average, etc., as part of a possible mean-reversion strategy. Thanks.

I'm an occasional visitor here. Just saw your question.
Have you tried (example) PPO(1,50,1)?
This will give you the distance (price as a percentage) from the 50 period exponential moving average.
