  • Not sure what you mean by a syntax call, but only 'PC' is a valid Stockcharts symbol according to symbol search: Premium Catering on the Nasdaq GM

    If you wanted to include it in a scan it would be

    and [symbol is 'PC']
  • TY for reply Markd

    They are (4) of the following [from TradingView]

    PC = Put/Call Ratio

    PCC = Put/Call Ratio (Equities+Indices)

    PCCE = Put/Call Ratio (Equities)

    PCCI = Put/Call Ratio (Indices)

  • In the symbol search box enter put/call, then click 'More results for put/call' at the bottom of the drop down

    There are several CBOE symbols that might correspond to what you are looking for.

    TY Mark also.... I could note some things, ie...Un-sortable fields + qty to display + DOWNLOAD CSV etc..per page also to name 3

    Guess that is just "stuff" that will happen over time as I know this site just became a thing since "punched cards" and I still wish I had my NC tape punch + reader lol I could "Chip IN" [pardon that pun]

    Does that reveal my "life in IT" age some? yet not retired = that will be death ;-)

    Image Below? See how I used +sign ? that helped trim results fwiw to you guys [all crap I've know for some time]....and surprised that part worked somewhat, as it did at least nail out the Exch = INDX as kinda a filter yet not sure HOW=WTF? but I was looking to sort by that = to get to those INDX's only

  • I think your criticisms are a little unfair, since it did what you asked.

    Had you put some time into it, you probably could have figured out possible search terms on your own, don't you think, since the search engine is actually pretty forgiving about what you put in for search terms. Even if your search term is not exact, there's a pretty good chance it will find what your are looking for.

    I'm not sure what you are getting at with unsortable fields, qty to display, etc. The idea of symbol search is to find a single symbol. It returns multiple symbols when the search term matches more than one symbol. Why would you want to know how many symbols match your search term, as long as you find the one you want?

    Sorry for your feeling any of IT, as/was unfair... We are not dealing here with a .com that just fired up [let alone owned by an ex-MSFT employed by fellow] and we are NOT here to BETA test for free, at least me { I did that from DOS 3.0 - 6.22m then all NT's all up till and including Windows 2003 Server [but I got FREE pro-bono registered LEGAL OS's for my time with MicroShaft] = THEY PAID ME as a

    Run a scan !! [that is simply what the search did = TRUE] You can sort them!

    Yes or No = Are you able to then sort results? = TRUE

    ie...the OOP/MVC exists to be able to apply to that "function" [sort-ability, without re-inventing the wheel] to that page also Mark

    Me = Laconic is an adjective that describes a style of speaking or writing that uses very few words to express complex thoughts or ideas. It often implies brevity to the point of seeming rude or mysterious.

    [I'll add this = To many who are less intelligent] = I am no way being rude at all here = just FACTS

    The term originates from Laconia, the region of ancient Greece known for its inhabitants' terse and concise manner of communication.

    ==?? Talk is cheap [a numbered list the other day on another thread] = actions speak louder than words [if it is broke or improper] >>> Apply Common Sense + fix IT = bad data is worse than no data

    Why would you go to the trouble to translate search results to a web page format catering to IT veterans when your target audience is non-IT savvy traders who don't need those functions anyway?
