Another option is to set up an Advanced Alert and/or a Scan (the scan and alert can have the identical coding) to make you aware of the situation. As far as I can tell, the only indicator, that tracks the actual value of the high is the price channel You can use that to identify an actual percent off that period high.…

Greetings, first time poster, and wondering why this does not work? [type = Stock] and [country is US] and [RSI(14) < 35.0] and [1 day ago CMF(20) < 0.0] and [today CMF(20) > 1 day ago CMF(20)] +++++++ And trimming to this gives me 477 NSE's & LSE's only? Something for sure is trash on this thing [1 day ago CMF(20) < 0.0]…

In the Scan Workbench under the Technical Indicators drop down menu I found the following for a TTM Squeeze scan: [group is SP500] and [Close > 30] and [Volume > 9,999,999] and [TTM Squeeze(20,2.0,20,1.5,20) = 1] I would like to change this for a weekly timeframe. Any ideas? Thank you.

Mark, When I use a stock chart with a daily time period and a 6 month range, the x shows the ema(9) crossover of the ema(15) as just occurring but when I use the 60 minute period with a 1 month range, the ema(9) crossover of the ema(15) displays the crossover happening earlier in the day or days before. Why does the x…

I would like to replicate the 1-2-3 pattern trading process using the Zigzag overlay. Using End of Day results, is it possible to get stockcharts to list the stocks that are changing direction for the line on the zigzag? Is there something in Stockcharts that currently identifies stocks that are meeting the 1-2-3 pattern?

is this what the new scanning criteria, Price Relative, from stock charts does? AND [Price Relative(SPY) > yesterdays Daily MAX(252,Price Relative(SPY))] and to find new ones, add: AND [1 day ago Price Relative(SPY) < 2 days ago MAX(252,Price Relative(SPY))]

You can copy your scan to the forum for troubleshooting. What have you got so far on this scan? and [[weekly SMA(20,weekly close) x weekly sma(50,weekly close)] or [1 weeks ago weekly SMA(20,weekly close) x 1 weeks ago weekly sma(50,weekly close)]] would get you this week or last week where the 20 crossed above the 50 your…

Very helpful. Thanks. Here are my comments .... a) move the 5 set below the 21 set, to keep order (could prevent future errors) b) comment out the 5 set. 5 days is too small. This increased my sort from 24 to 37, for example. Perhaps you can find a pullback here. c) here are additional RANK BY you can use ... (use only ONE…

Do i need to do a separate alert for each of the 5 ETFs or is there a way to reference…

Data points should stay in the same relation to each other (higher, lower, percentage) after adjustment, so using adjusted data should be fine, unless your testing includes constants, like some number of points change, - e.g. hold for 5 points - instead of maybe hold for a 1% gain. But indicators and averages (the shapes…

You are only looking at today then and not considering any prior periods so you should be comparing the OPEN instead of the Close in your and [CLOSE/[OPEN-CLOSE]*100 < 1.5] and [OPEN/[OPEN-CLOSE]*100 < 1.5] The value for SMCI is around 2.18 doing that. Remember, the -0.66 is close compared to 1 period ago close so you…

I get well over 100 results running it at the moment. The results all show a negative Correlation(200,$SPX) value. When I place the Correlation Indicator on the chart, it appears to be showing correlations that are < 0. A stock can go up or down and have a negative correlation. If you are looking for more of a negative…

Adding Price Relative is nothing new. We already had Percent Relative. ... You can use any variety of Percent Relative ... week, month, etc. 1 week, 39 weeks, etc. Example ... rank by [ weekly PctRelative(1,$spx) + weekly PctRelative(2,$spx) + weekly PctRelative(3,$spx) + weekly PctRelative(3,$spx) ]

and [[Dragonfly Doji X sma(20 , close)] or [(close/open-1 >=.005) X sma(20,close)]] try this for the first part: and [ [ [Dragonfly Doji is TRUE] and [close x sma(20,close)] ] Dragonfly Doji is true/false, while sma is numerical; you can't (edited from "can") compare true/false to a number. for the second part or…
