how do i respond to a answer that was emailed to me with a question in it?

Click on the Home link. The first post is a Read Me "the rules".
If you are referring to a notification that was emailed to you. That was probably my response to your question on the SP1500. The forum will notify you that there was a response to a thread you had interacted with. It's just a notification if that is what you are talking about.0
