VWAP Entry

Does a longer time frame when crossing the vwap line increase the odds of a good entry ? For example, would I do better by entering on a VWAP crossover with the 15 min or even hour time frame vrs a smaller ..say 5 min time frame ?

Reading the ChartSchool article, I don't think there is a "better", just the awareness. I don't use this indicator but others may. Understand how the timeframe and the VWAP interact, and then observe would be my guess.

On ACP they added an indicator called the Anchored VWAP. This indicator can be added to all time frames. Unfortunately I don't see either VWAP in the Scan workbench.

  • Another place to look for info, you can look up Brian Shannon and VWAP on YouTube to see how he suggests VWAP can be used.
  • For me, anchored VWAP is more important than any other moving average. Brian Shannon has numerous articles on how to use it, there are a number of platforms that scan for it, c'mon StockCharts, get with the program
  • I'm partial to the moving averages on the Point and Figure chart. Can't scan for those either.
  • @CharlesK - if you haven't already, I would urge you to submit a suggestion to Support. This is a user site. It probably gets reviewed from time to time, but direct contact is probably better. If they don't hear from users, it's harder to gauge demand. You'll probably get a canned response, but that doesn't mean it doesn't get on a list.
