New Highs and Lows

A great way to do this is to use a scan that is already created. In the Predefined Scans section on StockCharts.com they have created a scan for new 52 week Highs and 52 week lows.
When you click on the results for those (and every predefined scan) there is a link on the top right that says Click here to edit this scan.
Click there and it will open the Advanced Scan Workbench with the scan code for that scan already filled in. You can modify the code there to meet your needs and then SAVE it as one of YOUR scans.
It's a great way to learn the basic scans.
